As a certified PADI Divemaster, you may supervise and assist with both training and non-training diving activities. Divemasters are invaluable to instructors, due to their participation in student diver training in the class as well as in the water. Divemasters can also lead on guided dives and conduct certain programmes and experiences, such as discover scuba, discover scuba diving, discover local diving, scuba review, discover snorkelling and skin diver course. A PADI Divemaster has a high level of personal diving skill and instructor level knowledge and theory. You will also have had significant experience in assisting an instructor during student diver training activities, and be able to assume a role of responsibility for the welfare of divers in your care. |

| Course prerequisites: | PADI Rescue Diver, or equivalent. you must have completed 20 open water dives before starting the course, and must have completed 60 open water dives before qualifying. | ![]() |

| Minimum age: | 18 years | |||||||
| Requirements: | Relatively fit & healthy, able to complete a number of timed swim tests, sign medical waiver. | |||||||
| Normal duration: | A few weeks to several months, although courses can be tailored to suit individual requirements. | |||||||
| Equipment required: | Full dive equipment, plus other equipment may have to be built up during course. | |||||||
